Organiser

Privacy Policy

Organiser is built around a simple idea: the things that make up your life should stay yours. This policy explains what information Organiser can work with, why it is needed, and how the app is designed to handle it.

At a glance: Organiser is currently a local-first iOS/iPadOS app in beta. Core tracked data is stored on your device, with iCloud sync infrastructure prepared for the future.

What Organiser stores

Organiser lets you keep information about the dates, commitments and financial plans that matter to you. Depending on the features you use, this can include names and personal details, birthdays and anniversaries, bills and subscriptions, MOT and vehicle tax dates, insurance, appointments, travel, documents and taxes, home and family events, pet information, work and civic events, custom dates, notes, reminders, recurring dates, income and recurring spending information.

Where your data is kept

Organiser is designed as a local-first app. Tracked information is stored on your device using Apple's on-device data technologies. The current product design also has iCloud sync infrastructure prepared for future use; the app is currently described as local-first rather than as a cloud-first service.

Calendar access

Organiser can integrate with your Apple Calendar using EventKit. Calendar information is used to help surface relevant events and provide the connected experience described in the app. You control whether Organiser is given calendar access through Apple's system permissions.

Contacts access

Organiser can import birthdays from Contacts. The product is designed for this to be a read-only import, so Organiser can use the information needed to help you remember important dates without editing your contacts.

Notifications

Organiser can schedule reminders and staged notifications for dates and commitments you choose to track. Notification permission is controlled through iOS/iPadOS, and you can change it at any time in your device settings.

App lock and biometrics

Organiser supports biometric app protection using Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric checks are handled by the operating system. Organiser does not receive your Face ID or Touch ID data.

Data export and import

Organiser includes data management features for export and import. These tools are intended to give you more control over your own information and make it easier to manage or move your Organiser data.

What we do not claim here

The current product brief does not specify the use of advertising networks, analytics providers, tracking pixels, third-party data brokers, or a remote user-account service. This policy therefore does not claim that any of those services are used. Where the product changes, this policy should be updated to match the implementation.

How your information is used

Information you add to Organiser is used to provide the features you asked it to provide: showing what's happening, reminding you about what is coming up, and helping you understand regular financial commitments and what you have left after them.

Your choices

You can manage access to Calendar, Contacts and Notifications through Apple’s permission controls. Organiser also provides settings for notifications, appearance, region, biometrics and data management.

Children

Organiser is a general personal life-management app. The current product brief does not define a separate child-specific experience or age threshold. Parents and guardians should consider the information entered into the app before allowing a child to use it.

Changes to this policy

Organiser is currently in beta and the product will evolve. When its data handling changes, this policy should be updated so that it continues to describe the app accurately.

Questions about Organiser or this Privacy Policy can be raised through the support and feedback options provided with the app.
